SVSCreator - what is it?
SVSCreator is a separate tool that allows user to build an ISO image that contains the SVS application in Windows PE. The created ISO image allows you to restore the operating system from a Image-level backup and upload selected drivers to it.

Creating the SVS ISO image in Windows PE
After downloading the SVSCreator, extract the files from the ZIP archive to a separate folder, and then run the application by opening the file: SVSCreator.exe.
This will open SVSCreator application window, where in the first step you need to specify the Temporary work directory path(which is also a location, where Xopero SVS ISO image will be created), by default it is C:\Windows\Temp.
After using Next button, you need to select the operating system architecture that you want to restore(32-bit or 64-bit).
By moving to the next step, the application will automatically download&install required components. Wait until process completes.
After preparing all the required components, you can proceed to the next step in order to create an ISO image. Click Next button, to get into the Drivers section.
This part gives you a possibility to add drivers for operating system that you're going to restore. This is not necessary to use, however, if your device has some dedicated RAID controllers or network card, it may be needed to use.
By choosing Add button you can simply select the drivers and include them in ISO image. You can also review all of the selected drivers on the list.
After clicking Next button, the application will start creating the ISO image for Smart Virtualization Stick.
After the ISO file is created, the user will be notified by the message: ISO image with Windows PE successfully built and information about its location.
Smart Virtualization Stick
Smart Virtualization Stick is an independent tool provided as ISO image(that's being created with the SVSCreator) which is used to restore disk images.
By using this tool you can restore the system even after a computer failure from a previously made Image backup.
Burning SVS on a USB drive
To burn Xopero SVS on pendrive, use the program to create a bootable USB flash drive, eg. Rufus. In the field Device you need to indicate USB flash drive on which you want to record the ISO image, then select the file to record and press Start.
After completing these steps a window appears with the message, about detection ISOHybrid image, where you should select Write in ISO Image mode and accept.
After completing the above steps will be initiated the process of burning an ISO image to a USB flash drive.
Running Smart Virtualization Stick
To start the SVS app from USB flash drive in the BIOS/EFI must be set the boot sequence (boot from USB-HDD).
After starting the SVS in the Windows PE, the following options will be displayed:
Xopero - go to the next window with additional restore options.
Shell - go to the command line.
Reboot - restart the machine.
Shutdown - shutdown the machine.
After selecting button, a menu will appear displaying the options described below.
- Device App - runing the Agent Xopero application on the device.
- Fix boot problems - solution to problems running the operating system. More information here.
- Drivers - loading the drivers. More information here.
In the next step, select button and enter the address of the management service, as well as the name of the device under which the user want to see this host in the Xopero ONE system.
After entering the data, select button, and then go to the management panel from another device.
If the Agent was ran via the SVS application, its activation is required. To do this, click button (it is available in the upper right corner of the screen), then select the device on the list and click .
Running Bare-Metal restore process
Open Devices tab and click on button available on action menu next to the device that you want to restore image of.
The first step after getting into restore window is to select the backup plan that we want to restore the data from.
Click on View available plans and choose one from the list. Select an image-level plan (marked with a disk icon).
On the next step, select one the backup version between all the backups that have been already performed.
Choose desired date and click on button and the BMR option, which will display another window, where you can choose data to restore and select the BMR option.
A list of disks will be displayed. Select the disk you want to restore, and then click button.
In next step need to select the device to which to restore the disk image. To do this, in the Restore to section, choose button. If the Agent used via the SVS application, the device will be automatically selected.
Now select the disk to burn the image. To do this, select button, choose it and confirm selection with button.
ATTENTION! If any data is on the indicated disk, it will be lost.
After completing the form, select button.
The recovery progress will be available for tracking from the Tasks tab.
