Overview
To control status of your tasks in fully automated way and to stay updated about the status of your backup plans GitProtect provides Email notifications. You can manage notifications on Settings tab and set your own SMTP server, define the list of recipients or define what type of information should be delivered to your mailbox.
You can turn on and off Email notifications simply by using the switch, but before that make sure that everything is correctly configured.
Email server
This part of Email notifications settings allows you to setup your own SMTP server to use for a software. In order to configure SMTP server provide SMTP server address, it's port used by it.
At the same form you've the possibility to send a test message, to make sure that SMTP configuration that you've provided is proper.
Recipients
Recipients section is that part, where you can set a list of e-mail addresses, which should receive information configured in Email notifications section. You can add multiple addresses to the list, to make sure that any alerts won't be missed.
Email notifications
This section allows you to define the language of reports that recipients will receive and also the type of included informations.
You can select between Backup plan summary, which will include all available information or just specific kind - for example only about tasks that failed.
