Overview
Xopero Client is a necessary part of our system. This is a component, which is being installed on the devices that you want protect. It is responsible for backup and restore process.
Windows installation
After downloading the agent application for Windows systems and running it select the setup language and after doing so click Next.
In next window click on Next button to begin the installation.
Read and accept the End-User License Agreement, then move to the Next step.
Choose the folder where Xopero Client should be installed.
In field address - type in the address of Management Service including both protocol and port.
Click “Install” to begin the installation.
After the wizard finishes its installation click the “Finish” button.
At this point You can add Your device via Management Service following Adding Device.
Linux installation
Important note: It is required to install DotNet and Lightning Memory-Mapped Database libraries to ensure proper working of the client.
Download XoperoONEBackupAgent.sh script and run it.
Confirm the End-User License Agreement to continue.
In field Address - type in the address of Management Service including both protocol and port.
At this point You can add Your device via Management Service following #Adding Device.
Mac installation
Download and run the installer. After You have done that, the DeviceApp Installer window will pop up.
Press continue in the first window.
Now You will have to select where to install Xopero Client.
Confirm or change destination, then click Install.
You will be prompted to type in Your password, after clicking Install Software installation will proceed.
This screen will conclude this part of the installation.
Now we will have to open the Terminal and setup server address.
sudo /Applications/Xopero/xoperoclient/xoperoclient_setup_server_address.py <ADDRESS>
Make sure to include both the protocol and port of GitProtect Management Service during the server address setup process. At this point you can add your device via Management Service. Get back to First login article and see how to assign device to the platform.
