Password Manager allows you to set, keep and manage your passwords(used for storage) and encryption keys used in Xopero One platform. This tool is available in Settings tab, but also during Storage addition process and Backup plan creation.
Adding new password
To add a new password to the Password Manager click on button and select whether you would like to add a new Encryption key or a Password.
The process for creating both of those is the same, so to add a password you need to define it's name, which will help you to recognize it. Then type in a password in New password and Confirm password field, make sure that the password meets all the conditions.
The description is an optional field, where you can add your comment.
After filling up all fields in the form click button.
Removing a password
Each password and encryption key, which has been added to the Password Manager can be removed.
To perform a password removal process click on Remove password button.
While removing the storage authentication password the system will notify you, if the password is already used in any of storages assigned to the system. Make sure that both the password and storage are not needed anymore - deleting such entry will result with unavailability to connect with the storage.
Same as with storage authentication password you need to be extra careful with deleting the Encryption keys. If the key is used to encrypt any of your data, you'll need it to restore the data from the backup.
The only type of password modifiable in Password Manager is the one used for storage authentication represented with icon. You can edit such entry by choosing Edit button.
During the password modification you can change it's name in the system, set a new password or add/edit it's description.
After setting new password click button to confirm the changes.
