Adding devices
For the device to be added to Xopero Management Service you will need to install the agent on it first. See Agent installation
If there is a device with the application installed and isn't currently assigned in the system you should receive a notification on the top bar with a number in the green circle indicating how many devices are currently available to be assigned.
After clicking on it, you will be able to select the device/s that you want to assign.
Last step in this process is to select a license that you want to apply to the device.
After that click . Device is now active, and ready to have backup plans assigned to it.
Deleting devices
If there’s a device that you don’t want to protect with Xopero ONE anymore and you would like to release the license taken by it, you can delete it from the backup system.
To perform this operation open - Devices tab, and select a checkbox next to the device.
After that, click button available at the top bar and confirm the action by choosing Remove in a pop-up window.
You can also delete all the files that were backed up from this device by clicking “Delete all backup of…” checkbox.
Groups
A group is a virtual container with a unique name that allows the user to aggregate devices assigned to the system. One device can be assigned manually by the user to one or many groups.
Creating Groups
Groups can be created through Devices tab; to view the list of actual defined groups or create a new one, click button visible at the top menu.
To create a new group choose option, which will display the Add group field.
Provide a group name and confirm group creation by pressing ENTER on your keyboard.
Adding devices to group
In order to add a device to a group open Devices tab and select Device details from Device actions. Scroll down the details to the Groups section.
Click button and choose one of the suggested groups.
You can also provide a name for a new group, which will be created at this point.
Detach device from a group
In order to detach a device from the group open Devices tab and select Device details from Device actions. Scroll down the details to the Groups section.
Click button next to the group name in order to perform the detachment.
Device details
This window contains accurate and detailed information about your device, including its status, information about assigned plans, last actions performed and other.
Device health
The Device health section informs you about the status of your device, namely the status of the lastest task that was performed on this device.
By selecting the Details option you'll be able to verify log details of this task, which includes information such as time, log title, plan name, device name and error messages.
Another option is to Set as default device, which allows you to select the device that is responsible for connection to Xopero ONE service.
Storage usage
This section allows you to check the original and compressed size of the data that was sent by the chosen device. It also includes information about the used storage space.
Backup plans
Section called Backup plans shows tasks that the chosen device is assigned to. On this view you can verify the next run of the plan and even start it manually.
Click See all plans option to display all the backup plans assigned to your device.
Statistics
This is a place where you can find more details about backup and restore operations - number of total operations performed, how many of them were performed correctly or incorrectly and when such actions took place.
Recent notifications
The Notifications section allows you to check the details of actions performed on your device. It is a simplified view of logs, which consists of Type, Status and Time of the performed action.
Using See all notifications hyperlink, you will be redirected to Logs tab with filter set to display only logs of this device.
Groups
This section allows you to manage groups that your device is assigned to - by adding it to new groups or detaching it from the actual ones. You can find more details about this topic in Groups section.
Additional options
There are also a few additional options available at the bottom of the Device details window .
Delete all device backups - an option that allows you to delete all the data protected by Xopero on this device.
All properties - displays all the information about your device in JSON file format, it will be useful for Xopero technical support.
Set as default - allows you to select the device that is responsible for connection to Xopero ONE service.
